Sentences and Fragments (6th grade)

Mrs. Medina and I both had sixth grade groups and both had to get our students to write an article. We wanted the students to write in complete sentences. Therefore, we taught them what a sentence and fragment is. To make it more appealing for the students, we decided to create popsickle sticks with the letter F for fragment or S for sentence. This idea was taken from the orientation we took on educational games. The students just had to raise the correct popsickle stick for us to see who truly comprehends what a sentence and fragment is.
