Dr. Seuss Week
I was super excited when I found out the English teachers were going to celebrate Dr. Seuss week (yes I love Dr. Seuss like a little kid). I grew up reading from this author and I immediately started planning all the things I could do for the week. I talked with Mrs. Medina and we planned a lot of fun things. I do wish we could have done more, but a week just isn't enough. Anyway, the students got to watch Dr. Seuss video clips of his autobiography and cartoons of his different stories. Then we'd discussed it with fun worksheets and created crafts. It was a really nice week. Mrs. Medina did a beautiful banner of the Cat in the Hat. I brought some posters and bows to decorate the doors. I also gave the students a little message with a mint candy that matched Dr. Seuss' colors. I even dressed in those colors that represent Dr. Seuss throughout the week. A student of mine brought me a book of Green eggs and Ham and gave it to me as a gift. It was so sweet! Here you can see all the photos of this wonderful week.
